The Sensex is down 164 points at 36,091 and the Nifty is down at 10,858 at 52 points. The breadth of the market is narrow as 627 shares decreased, while 847 shares decreased and 567 shares remained the same.
Variation in Sectors: Bank Nifty and the midcap index are in the red, while pain can be seen in cars, metals and pharmaceuticals.
Variation in Scrip: NTPC, Wipro, HDFC and Bharti Airtel were the most successful, while Tata Motors, Vedanta, Eicher Motors and JSW Steel lost the most.
Rupees variation: The Indian rupee opened on Wednesday at 69.52 per dollar marginally lower than the previous 69.45.
Wrapping News: India’s benchmark indices declined on Wednesday as investors cautiously anticipated corporate earnings starting next week. In addition, concerns about global growth outlook and uncertainty in India before the general election in 2019 added volatility.
