Sensex ended Flat; Maruti Suzuki, Bharti Airtel, ITC gain:
The Sensex witnessed a flat session on Monday as investors chose to stay away ahead of the winter session of Parliament. The benchmarks under performed global peers, who rallied after US President Barack Obama expressed confidence on resolving the fiscal cliff problem.

The Nifty was at 5,567.30, down 6.75 points or 0.12 per cent. It touched a high of 5,592.75 and a low of 5,552.25 in trade so far.
The BSE Midcap Index was down 0. 65 per cent and the BSE Smallcap Index declined 0.49 per cent.
Among the sectoral indices,Auto Index gained 0.90 per cent, FMCG Index moved 0.28 per cent higher and Realty Index advanced 0.20 per cent. Metal Index was down 0.63 per cent and Capital Goods Index declined 0.59 per cent.
Maruti Suzuki, Bharti Airtel, ITC, Mahindra & Mahindra and NTPC were among the Sensex gainers.
Tata Power, TCS, Tata Steel, Reliance Industries and HDFC were the major index gainers.
Shares of Maruti Suzuki gained on hopes for rising sales this month as part of the festival season and a weakening Japanese yen.
Credit Sussie has upgraded Bharti Airtel to ‘outperform’ from ‘under perform’ rating earlier. The brokerage has also upped the price target to Rs 355 from Rs 225 earlier.
The market breadth was negative on the BSE with 935 gainers against 1676 losers.
